Position: Director of Marketing

Founded in 1976, Capriotti’s Sandwich Company is a multiple award-winning specialty sandwich retailer with more than 70 company-owned and franchise locations in eleven states across the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes national marketing plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Ensures marketing strategies are integrated, innovative with a focus on leveraging digital and social media to promote consumer engagement.
  • Develops and revise as needed Grand Opening and Local Store Marketing (LSM) tool kits for Capriotti’s restaurants.
  • Create and administer training curriculum on the LSM tool kit that will help educate and empower our managers to successfully utilize the tools and resources the department provides.
  • Directs implementation and execution of marketing and customer service policies and practices.
  • Ensures marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with company needs.
  • Provides leadership and support for the design, development and implementation of products and services.
  • Oversees, directs, and performs market research, competitor analyses and customer service and retention monitoring processes and initiatives.
  • Builds, develops and manages marketing team capable of carrying out marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Directs marketing department including development and distribution of all marketing collateral.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.  

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in fast-paced marketing/production related field, restaurant or retail environments required.  Franchise experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with social media strategies and metrics
  • Experience with managing social platforms, email marketing (utilizing such tools as Fishbowl, CRM database, Google Analytics) preferred
  • An outside the box creative mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent field required. MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and implementing Local Unit Marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success with creating and cultivating relationships with local unit operators.
  • Strong written, editing, proofreading and oral communication skills; attention to detail with an ability to meet tight timelines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven knowledge of printing and other creative development and production processes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple/competing projects and assignments.
