     When I was ready to invest and run my own food business, I really wanted it to be a part of something I believe in. I wanted to sell a quality product that customers would seek out over the competition because of its superiority. I found this in Capriotti's. In 1997 I bought my first store in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Just a year later I bought my second store in Las Vegas, Nevada. Today I own 8 stores and could not be happier with our market postion, the reputation we have maintained., and the franchisor's desire to keep my business profitable.
     Capriotti's is so respected because of our quality product and personal customer service. These two factors, especially in the food business, are critical and work together. An average sandwich and great service is not good enough. Similarly, a great sandwich with "ho-hum" service is not good enough. That is why we are successful - we have both! This came from the philosophies of my family that founded the company. Having noticed the greatness of Capriotti's, the new management underscores their philosophies, and is now taking us to the next level.
     The potential upside of this business is very good, and the financial requirements are very reasonable, making this a great business to own. We now haveover 50 stores. To some that is a lot, but there is a big bad world out there that has never had our food. Every time a new customer try's the food, eyebrows rise quickly as they taste the greatness. I've seen this many times with my 8 stores, and it puts a smile on my face every time. When we serve our quality sandwiches with superb service, these customers come back often and also tell others that they had a great sandwich -- with no gimmicks. It's no wonder we say on our menu, "Quality is our only Gimmick".

     I became a part of Capriotti's in 1993 when my cousins asked me if I wanted to be involved in the Dover, Delaware store. I loved it from the first day! I remember being so impressed with the quality of food, the cleanliness and the friendly, family atmosphere towards the customers. I trained at the Union Street store in Wilmington, DE with my cousin Cindy (who, like me is a "stickler" for neatness). I was amazed how the staff knew all the customers and what they ate!
     I enjoyed Capriotti's so much that I opened a second store in Dover near Dover Air Force Base. We have flight crews from all over the world and the men tell us that people can't wait to get to Capriotti's. We are known in England, France, Spain and the Middle East!
     My cousin Lois, had an idea for exceptional food and outstanding customer service and it "took off". Even today, I am so proud to be a part of not only our family but the new Capriotti's Sandwich Shop family. It is a very nice feeling to answer the phone and say "Capriotti's by the Air Base".

     Where can you go and get "hands-on" service old-school style, in a fast food world and still walk out with a quality product? Hardly anywhere, with the exception of Capriotti's, a sandwich shop with zero egos and zero pretentiousness, but with that "east coast edge". You're not gonna see marble floor, flashy paint schemes, or wireless headsets... just hard working employees taking orders on pen and paper, and building a product that goes unmatched.
     All of this, combined with a rock-solid support team, is exactly why we became franchisees. With over 25 years experience between us in the food and beverage industry, we definitely know what the public wants: great "hands-on" service and a quality product. And, that's what Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is all about. If you don't believe it, just ask the people.

     Definitely fresh, superior quality and wholesome products were an easy choice. The idea of no microwaves, turkey and roast beef made on site was surprising. And a support group of warm knowledgeable people a phone call away was surreal. Capriotti's obviously has a winning formula.
